okay so this past week was amazing!! i love spirit week. monday was western day and everybody loved my huge hat lol! even mr. hamner haha. tuesday was character day and jp, joey wolfkill, and i dressed up as fred, scooby doo, and daphne (respectfully). it was so cute!! wednesday was clash day and we had a game against hereford. we lost, 4-0, but it was a well-played game and i got the game ball! and brian crisp visited me before the game :D :D! it was so happy to see him, even though i like, didn't miss him at all. haha SIKE! thursday was class colors day and at lunch there were senior and junior chants going back and forth, lol. friday was school colors day and i went over catherine's early in the morning and we painted stars on each others faces! they were waaaay cute and everybody loved them! pep rally was SO much fun, when they called the field hockey team to go down the runway we all stopped in the middle and did jump on it! it was so funny. the rest of pep rally was awesome, too, 2008 got most spirited class again, hellz yeah! when we won i went and picked up john (class president) and spun him around haha! i had a game against patapsco friday that we won 8-0! yeah baby :] and then the homecoming football game vs. eastern tech. we lost 0-31 but that's okay. some sophomore boys spelled out loch raven on their chests, it was pretty funny, and i got to hang out with people i don't usually see at school! catherine, kaitie, and i gave the marching band a standing ovation, haha. saturday was HOMECOMINGGG! catherine and i went out to lunch with her momma and then got our hair done. then i chilled for a little at home and got ready and went to amanda's for pictures! yay :D then we went to jp's for more pictures! homecoming was really fun and then a ton of people went to bateman's! and we were there at midnight when it was jen's birthday! but then i had to come home because i had stupid Mmmbeth and Hamlette today, there were all about 10 people in an auditorium that could easily fit like 150, but hey, whatev. good weekend!

this week was short since we had off monday but it seemed to go on foreverrrr. i don't really remember anything that happened except we lost to towson wednesday, 1-4. we were supposed to play dulaney yesterda but it got postponed because of the rain. team dinner yesterday! so much fun. catherine and i went to the movies after wards to see the guardian. it was so good! today i did nothing. i should have gone to the thrift store to get stuff for my character day costume, but i did not. i'm dressing up as pippi longstocking :] i'm excited! monday is western day, and i'm wearing stacey's huge styrofoam cowboy hat from mmmbeth. homecoming game friday, dance saturday! no date, but i'm still excited. it's late. goodbye!

i hate when my dad wakes me up from naps.

yay team sleepover yesterday! it was so much fun. lots of bonding expirience! we watched she's the man, played pool and foosball, played big booty! haha i haven't played that game since the DLC days :] and hmm what else? oh yeah ate like big fat elephants! hahaha. there was soo much food! i love food. we talked for hours too and really got each other pumped for the rest of the season. this week we have towson and dulaney only one day apart from each other! when our talk was winding down it made me want to play! i like that. after the dulaney game on friday we are having a team dinner so more fun times are to be had! and catherine and her mom are gonna have a field hockey mary kay party! woo make up :]

i was supposed to get my permit today, but my dad got home at 3:30 telling me he had to walk home from tim's auto because he had to get his tail lights fixed, and i took a nap from around 3:30 to 5:30 and the mva closes at 4:30 so that SUCKS! it's official, i am never getting my permit.

hypocrisy seems to be getting really trendy. all i have to say that is fuck it. srsly.

jen's surprise party was a success! it was a lot of fun. her new house is amazing! i love it. i hung out with david and nick for a while and then they left and allie came. i saw bobby's new car and it's really nice. there's a fire pit in jen's back yard so we were roasting marshmellows and stuff, and bobby, allie, amanda, devin, jon, ryan, ryan, and jose and i got in a huge marshmellow fight! hah. there were marshmellows everywheree and devin and i grabbed two bags and started pelting like five or six at a time. then we went to get wood for the fire and allie and i tried to stick marshmellows down amandas pants hahaha. good night.

i woke up early this morning and made my cake for the team sleepover tonight! i tried a little of it too and it's deliciousss. it's cooling in the fridge now so i can decorate it later. i'm so excited!! haha.

jenny's coming soon to pick me up and we are going to the book festival thing downtown to perform mmmbeth and hamlette. god, shoot me!

HAPPY OCTOBER! my favorite month everrrr. the good part about going to perform today is hanging out downtown in the fall!! yess :]

tomorrow i may be getting my permit! finally! and it's my half birthday! life's good.

yesterday catherine and i went to the boys soccer game against dundalk. like no one was there, lol. the boys won 4-0 i think. it was so cold! afterwards catherine, kelsey, and i went to applebee's! mmm. catherine and i got mozzerella sticks and honey barbeque wings and shared them and kelsey got spinach and artichoke dip which i found out is delicious! you learn new things every day.

today we had a game at landsdowne. 4-0 victoryy! maybe 5, i don't really remember lol. we kind of didn't have our shit together in the first half and only scored one goal. but second half we pulled together and did a lot better!

i want to show cute pictures from the bus ride, but i have no idea how. someone help me?

more weekend fun to come!

game against pikesville yesterday: 5-0 victory! allie made everybody t-shirts with our numbers on the front and a little Loch Raven Field Hockey acronym on the back.

aww how cute! right now our record is 6-1 and we have some of the highest scorers in the county! alexa and ally! yaaay.

this morning i read my own name on the annoucements. it was kinda funny. i was like "hannah marr had some awesome saves" or something like that, and i stumbled over my own name and laughed.

today in theatre we performed our p.o.s. play, "the royal seed". ughhh it was so embarrassing, especially because taylore and alex were there. blegh. tay and i talked afterwards though and it was fun. we talked about field hockey and the team this year and how GREAT it is and how much fun we are having! i can't wait until the team sleepover sunday night! it's going to be so much fun. AND we got our jackets and pants today! they're really cute, and i like them a lot. the t-shirts we got aren't really t-shirts, they're like under armor material, which is cool! everybody seemed really happy, except for catherine and laura who said that they're pants made them look like snowmen, which is NOT true!

we got interims yesterday, and mine was really good. 5 a's and 2 b's, although it should have been 6 a's and 1 b but markowski is an idiot and gave me a b in u.s. history even though i should DEFINATELY have an a because everything i've gotten back has been an a and i'm the only one that ever participates! so that made me really mad and i basically threw a bitch fit and he looked quite scared aha. catherine got a b too, when she should have gotten an a, and she yelled at him today too. haha. eric foreman!

i want my surprise from allison smith. the anticipation is killing me!

oh em geee. vinnie just imed me! hah. i love himmm.

Today was a good day. School was basically school, nothing out of the ordinary. The weather was BEAUTIFULL. Perfect hockey weather, I might add. How convenient seeing as I had a game today! Away at Perry Hall. WE WON! 1-0 but ahh it was SUCH an intense game. They almost scored with about 10 seconds left but psht NO WAY. Amanda scored the lone goal and got the game ball! She totally deserved it. I LOVE this team, we play so well together and when we're good, DAMN we're good! Eeeek!

Life is looking good at this moment :]

This week was wierd. Monday, school and practice. Tuesday, no school! I sat at home and did nothing, lol. Wednesday, school and game against Franklin, another win 3-2. Thursday, school, no practice because of the rain! Friday, school, no practice again because of the rain! Catherine and I were basically stranded at school, then my dad came and took us to our team dinner at Pizza Hut! Mmm. Then Catherine and I went shopping and to the movies. I got a shirt for tomorrow because we're dressing up for our Owings Mills game. We saw the Wickerman, worst movie of my life. But C-Vane made it all fun! I love that girl, she's my favy! Yesterday, game at 11 against Catonsville. First loss of the season, 1-3. Very, very dissapointing. There's a lot of work to be done now. After the game was Mmmbeth and Hamlette, then back home. Then I went over to Kim's house and spent the night there with her and Rachel. I had fun, I really missed those girls. I came home around 8 today because my dad went to the Raven's game. Today I basically sat around and did nothing. I did watch Cruel Intentions, though, it was very good! Now I'm just putting off taking a shower and waiting for 5:30 to roll around so I can go to Spot's for tonight's show. School tomorrow, yuckkk.

To avoid looking boring, one must update more often, as to remember things that happen during the day. That seems to be where I go wrong. My life isn't this boring, I promise!!

alright well. this week i had two field hockey games and started in both! wednesday was away at eastern tech and we won 3-2. yesterday was at home against sparrows point and we won 6-0.

last night was also the first football game of the season against parkville. we lost 6-40. yuck! i had fun at the game though, until i lost my claddagh ring. i'm still so upset about that. i looked around for at least 15 minutes and my dad and i went back to look again today, but we couldn't find it. aside from that, i got to see natalie and chelsea! i haven't seen them in a while, it was nice. we talkedc for a while too and i was happy about that! after the game Allie, Amanda, Kelsey, Catherine, and I all went out for Catherine's birthday. we were going to go to applebee's but it was packed with people coming from the game so we went to bateman's instead, but first we had to kidnap Amanda. it was definately the highlight of the night.

today i had the opening night (or should i say day?) of mmmbeth and hamlette, it went really well, and i was pleased. i've got another show tomorrow at 7.

school's going well too, i guess that's always a good thing. i'm looking foreward to the rest of this year.

CAIRNS, Australia // Steve Irwin, the hugely popular Australian television personality and conservationist known as the "Crocodile Hunter," was killed today by a stingray while filming off the Great Barrier Reef. He was 44.

Irwin was at Batt Reef, off the remote coast of northeastern Queensland state, shooting a segment for a series called "Ocean's Deadliest" when he swam too close to one of the animals, which have a poisonous barb on their tails, his friend and colleague John Stainton said.

"He came on top of the stingray and the stingray's barb went up and into his chest and put a hole into his heart," said Stainton, who was on board Irwin's boat at the time.

Crew members aboard the boat, Croc One, called emergency services in the nearest city, Cairns, and administered CPR as they rushed the boat to nearby Low Isle to meet a rescue helicopter. Medical staff pronounced Irwin dead when they arrived a short time later, Stainton said.

Irwin was famous for his enthusiasm for wildlife and his catchword "Crikey!" in his television program "Crocodile Hunter." First broadcast in Australia in 1992, the program was picked up by the Discovery network, catapulting Irwin to international celebrity.

He rode his image into a feature film, 2002's "The Crocodile Hunters: Collision Course" and developed the wildlife park that his parents opened, Australia Zoo, into a major tourist attraction.

"The world has lost a great wildlife icon, a passionate conservationist and one of the proudest dads on the planet," Stainton told reporters in Cairns. "He died doing what he loved best and left this world in a happy and peaceful state of mind. He would have said, 'Crocs Rule!'"

Prime Minister John Howard, who hand-picked Irwin to attend a gala barbecue to honor President Bush when he visited in 2003, said he was "shocked and distressed at Steve Irwin's sudden, untimely and freakish death."

"It's a huge loss to Australia," Howard told reporters. "He was a wonderful character. He was a passionate environmentalist. He brought joy and entertainment and excitement to millions of people."

Irwin, who made a trademark of hovering dangerously close to untethered crocodiles and leaping on their backs, spoke in rapid-fire bursts with a thick Australian accent and was almost never seen without his uniform of khaki shorts and shirt and heavy boots.

Wild animal expert Jack Hanna, who frequently appears on TV with his subjects, offered praise for Irwin.

"Steve was one of these guys, we thought of him as invincible," Hanna, director emeritus of the Columbus (Ohio) Zoo and Aquarium, told ABC's "Good Morning America" today.

"The guy was incredible. His knowledge was incredible," Hanna said. "Some people that are doing this stuff are actors and that type of thing, but Steve was truly a zoologist, so to speak, a person who knew what he was doing. Yes, he did things a lot of people wouldn't do. I think he knew what he was doing."

Irwin's ebullience was infectious, and Australian officials sought him out for photo opportunities and to promote Australia internationally.

His public image was dented, however, in 2004 when he caused an uproar by holding his infant son in one arm while feeding large crocodiles inside a zoo pen. Irwin claimed at the time there was no danger to the child, and authorities declined to charge Irwin with violating safety regulations.

OHHKAY WELL.

school has started! the first week wasn't that bad, it was actually pretty nice, and i was kind of dissapointed at the lack of homework i got (wierd!). but, i did make some vocab cards today and i'm planning on writing the first draft of my diagnostic essay for english tomorrow!

field hockey is going really well too. but that's all i have to say about that until a later time. ;-]

yesterday derek and i went to the movies and dinner again! for the third weekend in a row, lol. we saw acceptance, it was very funny i must say. but it was raining like a mother outside! practice even got cancelled. today it was raining but it was more like a light drizzle.

tonight, i'm not doing anything, which is lame. because i definately thought i was gonna do something! oh well.

school tomorrowwwww! i've got mixed feelings. this summer was pretty awesome, i'm not sure i'm ready for it to end! but i miss my friends at school, so it'll be good to see them.

today i cleaned my room and did laundry which i had been putting off for a while. and i read a lot! i enjoy reading :). hmm, that's basically it.

my life seems boring whenever i think about it. but, i just look at it as being simple. :]!

check it outttt! i figured out lj customization, hells yeah! i'm excited.

today my dad and i went to this college partnership thing, that taught you about financial aid and different approaches to applying for colleges, and man it FREAKED ME OUT! i totally have to do well in school this year. there's also this course that my dad might sign me up for where you have an expert help you fill out all the forms and applications and stuff, and they help you from when you start the program all the way until your junior year of college. it seems really worth it but it's waaaay expensive.

aaand i got new shin guards! yay.

i wanna go to kim's! i don't know if i can though because i was pretty sick yesterday :(. i feel better though, so hopefully i can!

i am soo dizzy right now. i feel really drunk, but i am not. i think i pulled a muscle in my hand, my back hurts, my neck hurts, my head hurts, my stomach hurts. woo, life is good. i did absolutely nothing today except for field hockey. however, i did improve my timed run from 6:02 to 5:29 which is pretty exciting. however, that was like 10 hours ago, so whatever. now, i feel like sleeping infront of a door.

yesterday was eric's funeral. it was so upsetting. i still can't believe he's gone, it's just so sudden. i miss him!

i also had a physical yesterday.. and i have been diagnosed with scoliosis! it's only 4 degrees but i keep thinking about if it gets worse.. ahh! and like twenty minutes ago i fell backwards in a chair and hurt my neck really badly.

my dad got his car back! it broke down in ellicott city.. oops! but when we were driving it to my uncles house after the funeral it started making this wierd purring noise.. so we had to go home. right now my dad is walking to the car shop to get it back because he had to take it over there this morning. it's just up the street though. i really hope i can hang out with rachel and kim tonight because i miss them! my first weekend without music man and i have nothing planned! lame! we wanna go to a partyyyy :]

hmm. i need to go running! poo. tomorrow is the last day of camp. yaaaaaaaaaaaaay. no performances this weekend! i hope i get to hang out with rachel and kim.. and c-vaneee! but i don't know yet. my only free day is saturday :[. we'll see!

summer is almost overr. how upsetting! i had a lot of fun this summer and met a lot of great people! but let's not start on that just yet.
